Chronological Reading List for the Well Educated Mind

I'm thinking about attempting to read through all the works in The Well Educated Mind over the next four years, starting with medieval times (where we are in our history studies this year), and concluding with ancients (the year that my oldest begins the rhetoric stage), so I was pleased to find this chronological list, and am posting (with a pic for pinterest) in case anyone else might want to follow the same reading plan. The Well Educated Mind organizes the reading lists by genre, and within that chronologically, but I would rather read different kinds of literature from the same time period, especially since that will flow with our homeschooling.

Thanks for sharing your list! I love Susan Wise Bauer and have considered reading through all of these as well, it's a great idea to follow along with your kids as they move through the trivium.

I'm reading through TWEM, but I'm following the genres. I wish I would have thought about reading it chronologically and mixing the genres bc that would have been an interesting way to get through the list, too. Oh, well. I'm only in biographies right now. Good luck!

I am so fascinated with this list! I have already read through a good portion of this collection however, there are several, no many new introductions for my library. I'm not sure where I will start but for now, at the very top and move on from their. Thank you for sharing this list.

Thank you for the book list. Maybe the new generation will recapture the beauty of reading!
